With only 6 residents per home, everyone becomes part of a small, harmonious group - much like a family. Also, family members are encouraged to visit and become part of our extended family.  We host several parties and events throughout the year - from  4th of July to Oktoberfest. (See photos on Events page). 

 

We offer a range of activities which, although geared towards the older senior, are varied and interesting.  We do crafts, play large print bingo and other games, watch concert videos, have reminiscing sessions and walks outside.  Much time is spent outdoors in our gardens and patios - we take full advantage of the beautiful California weather and tropical foliage.

 

Like so many things in life, it is the small touches that count - like having someone remember how you like your sandwich prepared, bringing you a hot chocolate before bedtime, or complementing you on your new hairstyle. All of us love to feel pampered and that warm sense of belonging. 

At European Homes, we also believe in the benefits of pet therapy. Many of our homes have a special cat or dog to provide love and affection to our residents.

We encourage residents to bring photos and personal touches to keep in their rooms. We set the table with fresh flowers, celebrate a birthday with a personalized cake, and greet the visiting families by name. We love what we do and it shows.  (Please see the testimonial page to get a resident and family viewpoint.)
